Ready to Go!
I'd like to show you the three or four artworks that have made it through the frame shop, but that hasn't happened this past month. There are paintings waiting to be framed, but they had to take a back seat to life events in March. Like many people running a small side business, this is the month when the final tax prep is done. Some of you may be aware we are also in the process of preparing our home of four decades to go on the market, a very daunting task for two people who have for years convince ourselves we may need that “something” some day and found a way and place to keep it. We are also dealing with a family aging issue, which in the state of New Hampshire, can also be a daunting task.
So yes, there is artwork coming, but not quite yet. Maybe check out the "In the frame shoppe" piece below.
In the Frame Shoppe
Shipwreck Cove by Stephanie McQuade
9”x 12” Pastel Painting, acid-free matte, Non-Glare Glass, wood MDF Black frame with wire hanger.
Just north of Maine’s famous Bass Harbor Lighthouse is a small roadside sign indicating a shoreline hiking trail. It is an easy, short hike along a well marked trail that in places, hugs the rocky shoreline of shipwreck cove. Mike photographed the cove but never felt compelled to process the images. Stephanie, on the other hand, made good use of the images and created this natural seaside landscape in pastels.
Serenity Fountain by Stephanie McQuade
12”x 18” Pastel Painting, acid-free matte, Non-Glare Glass, in an antique, beige wood moulding frame with wire hanger.
If you have never visited the Fuller Botanical Gardens in North Hampton, NH, you need to take a day trip this summer. You will step back in time when you enter this historic estate garden.
Once inside the garden, next to the Conservatory is the Lydia Fuller Bottomley Garden with the magnificent crepe myrtle hanging over the fountain pool.
